Blood Tests and X-Rays
The GP or nurse may give you some forms for investigations. Most are done locally. Here are some useful details;
Bowel Cancer Screening
There are two parts to this, bowel scope screening for people aged 55 and home testing for people aged 60 to 74 years. More information is available here.
Breast Cancer Screening
This is offered to all woman aged 50 years to their 71st birthday. More information is available here.
Cervical Screening
This is for women aged 25 to 64 years. You can book an appointment with the practice nurse to have cervical screening.
Childhood Immunisations
We offer childhood immunisations inline with UK immunisation schedule. Book an appointment with the practice nurse for these to be given
Contraception
All the doctors give contraceptive advice and can prescribe the contraceptive pill. The first time you require advice please make an appointment to see a doctor. Subsequent appointments can be made with the nurse.
Condoms are available free – please ask at reception.

Flu vaccine
If you are eligible for flu immunisation you can book an appointment with the practice nurse to have this done in late September and October.
