How to Make and Cancel an Appointment
Due to covid-19 most appointments are currently being done by telephone. If a face to face assessment is needed then this will be arranged for you by the clinician you are speaking to. You can either book a routine appointment with a doctor of your choice or the practice nurse. There is also a daily telephone appointment clinic which replaces our walk-in service. You will be contacted by which ever doctor is available. Sometimes this clinic can be busy and you may need to wait some time before you are contacted.
There are many ways to arrange an appointment. You can either do this by arrange an appointment by using eConsult or using an app such as the NHS App or Patient Access (others are also available). You can also call us on 020 7467 6800 .
The easiest way to contact us is to use eConsult. You complete an online form which is sent to the practice. We will get back to you by the end of the next working day.
For any urgent problems that cannot wait for this please either call the practice between 8.00 and 18.30, Monday to Friday, or call NHS 111.
Daily Morning Same Day Appointment Clinic
The Practice has always had a daily morning walk-in clinic for quick or urgent problems that could not wait till the next available routine appointment. This has now been replaced by a telephone triage service. You can either call the practice on 02074676800 by 11am to be included in this clinic or you can complete an eConsult form (as above) and you will be added to the morning clinic for the next day. If it is busy you may need to wait for some time to be called. The doctor may invite you to the practice if you need to be examined.
To see a doctor
If you would like to see a particular doctor or your problem needs more time then call us on 020 7467 6800 to book a routine telephone appointment. These are available throughout the day. Appointments are usually for 10 minutes. We can invite you to the practice for a face to face consultation if this is needed.
If you are unable to attend your appointment please cancel it in advance so that it can be given to someone else.
If you are unwell and cannot wait for an appointment, please call the practice on 020 7467 6800.
To see a nurse
Appointments are available daily to see a nurse for dressings, cervical smear tests, suture removal, ear syringing, minor injuries, emergency contraception, free condoms, minor ailments etc. Please call the practice to arrange this. A clnician will call you for an assessment and then arrange the face to face appointment for you if this is needed.
There also clinics for asthma, heart disease and diabetes etc.
Evenings and Weekends
If it is difficult to book an appointment to see a GP during normal practice hours because of work commitments or school or if there is no convenient availability then an appointment can be booked for evenings or weekends. These are not at the practice but at designated hubs in Camden. This is suitable for non-urgent consultations for routine appointments for non-complex problems. Although patients with chronic ongoing problems can be seen they benefit from continuity of care and so are encouraged to book an appointment to see their regular GP.
Appointments can be booked by calling the GP Hub team directly 020 7391 9979, or you can call the surgery during opening times or by calling 111.
You will need to give consent to have medical records shared, this will allow the Dr you are going to see the information on our system so they can better help you.
If you do need to cancel an appointment please call us or 020 7391 9979 to cancel it, 111 can't do that part for you.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
